Therefore, there was a plan to abandon the 10-inch version of the PlayBook and instead focus on the new superphone program of the QNX system.

RIM said that in order to compete with the iPad, the Playbook tablet takes up almost all of the company's internal technical forces, which also led to the delay in the operation of the QNX system phone. In addition, the current market share of BlackBerry high-end smart phones continues to decline, but also forced RIM to take out new high-end smart phones to recover the lost market share.
