HARTING launches miniaturized and reliable connectors for the railway industry

HARTING to Han 16 The size of the HPR EasyCon is optimized to allow enough space for two to four high current ferrules (up to 2 x 650 A) in a small installation space. This range of performance delivers power to rail vehicle compressors, single wheel drives and ventilation systems. The new connector is compact and represents a trend towards miniaturization in the rail industry.

Han 16 HPR EasyCon meets all the basic requirements for railway vehicle interfaces. Reliable design, combined with large transmission capacity, compact structure and the maximum number of ferrules available for installation space. The two-piece housing provides plenty of room for the cable and is easy to install. HARTING also offers accessories for easy tension release and cable shielding connections.

In addition to high current ferrules, the new connector can be used with six different Han-Modular Module connections for power and signal transmission. Han 16 The HPR EasyCon is the only HARTING case with a frame size that accommodates so many modules. Users can save up to a quarter of the installation space compared to a new generation of connectors of similar size.

The compact contact jaws and housing design allow for quick installation. The upper case and the mounting base can be screwed together in a few quick and easy steps. The shield is always visible to the operator throughout the installation process. HARTING shielded connections are designed to be robust and reliable, and minimize the risk of attenuation losses.

Han 16 HPR EasyCon represents the highest honor of the HARTING rail industry series: with Han 34 and Han Like the HPR EasyCon, it is a solution that requires smaller connector applications – representing the trend toward miniaturization.
