On March 26, Taiwan's leading packaging company, Everlight, aimed at the huge lighting business opportunities in the mainland and announced that it has invested RMB 10 million to establish Shanghai Yaming Solid State Lighting Co., Ltd. with Shanghai Yaming Light Bulb Factory.
The joint venture company is responsible for high-power LED packaging by Yiguang, and Shanghai Yaming is responsible for system assembly. The two companies share 50% of the shares of the new company and jointly collaborate on mainland LED lighting business opportunities. Initially, it will start with outdoor lighting and will lock in the official LED streetlights released in 2009.
At the same time, Yiguang also announced the signing of a patent cross-licensing agreement with Germany's OSRAM yesterday, extending the scope of authorization to the whole field. Inspired by bullying, the three legal entities added a total of 3,151 copies yesterday, of which 2,566 were most actively invested by foreign capital.
