The Bluetooth Technology Alliance (SIG) launched the Bluetooth Developer Portal (Bluetooth Developer Portal: http://developer.bluetooth.org) at the General Assembly held in Vancouver. This new resource will help developers and engineers quickly learn the basics of Bluetooth device and application design, and help them develop new markets for applications that integrate Bluetooth low energy technology hardware.
The introduction of Bluetooth v4.0 last year set off a wave of new Bluetooth Smart devices, providing developers with the opportunity to create a new generation of software applications in order to make changes in the way consumers interact with the technology. The Bluetooth Developer Portal provides a series of resources, including training tools, interactive forums, quick start guides, and webinars, to help developers create new applications using standard Bluetooth data technology.
As part of the developer education and training program, the Bluetooth Technology Alliance has provided a series of Bluetooth developer webinar events for free from April 30. The webinar will provide practical training on Bluetooth applications, device design and implementation.
