CDN routing concept
CDN routing refers to redirecting the user's content request, or "routing" to the content server closest to the user. The CDN content router is responsible for content routing and selects the best access site for user requests. It is based on the existing IP network, and the supporting point is still the existing IP routing mechanism. Figure 4 shows the hierarchical relationship between CDN routing, IP routing, and user content requests. We visually refer to the level of the CDN routing as the "content layer". The content layer makes full use of the existing IP core routing network, and selects the best content server for users' content requests through specific content routing strategies to complete the content redirection.
CDN routing technology strategy
CDN routing technology can be divided into two categories: DNS-based routing and name-based routing. DNS-based routing is the routing method of the central server system, and name-based routing uses a distributed system.
