The 5th Global Mobile Internet Conference 2013 opens today

<p> In the morning of May 7th, the 5th Global Mobile Internet Conference (GMIC) was opened this morning at the National Convention Center. The two-day conference is the theme of this year's "Redefining Mobile Internet". Entrepreneur representatives from well-known Internet companies at home and abroad, such as Tencent, Sina, Google and Facebook, will discuss specific issues such as the future direction of mobile internet and cooperation at home and abroad.

GMIC is hosted by the "Great Wall Conference" and is currently the largest mobile Internet industry conference in China. GMIC is held twice a year, in Beijing Station in May and Silicon Valley Station in October. This year, GMIC will have more than 10,000 participants, and the companies involved include Facebook, Tencent, Rovio, Sina, Google, Evernote, GameLoft, Nokia and KPCB.

This GMIC conference has set up seven major sections: main venue, developer planet, innovation contest, mobile game summit, mobile value summit, mobile marketing summit and mobile talent summit. Each section will invite cutting-edge companies at home and abroad to share successful experiences and conduct in-depth discussions on various segments of the mobile Internet.

According to official data provided by the conference, 31% of the participants in the main GMIC venue are CEO-level persons, 15% are vice-president persons, 11% are director-level persons, and 43% are manager-level persons. In this year's main venue, Ma Huateng, chairman and CEO of Tencent's board of directors, Lei Jun, founder and CEO of Xiaomi Technology, and Wang Gaofei, vice president of Sina, will speak publicly.
