The current UK Highway Act stipulates that owners must still control cars during automatic parking. The Department of Transportation stated that the driver must continue to maintain full control of his vehicle and prohibit the driver from holding the mobile device while maneuvering the vehicle.
However, according to the regulations to be implemented in June, remote operators can use remote parking equipment as long as the operator is within 6 meters of the vehicle.
