Overview
The MAX4090 is a 3V / 5V powered 6dB video buffer with sync head clamping and low-power shutdown mode. The chip is available in SOT23 and SC70 packages. The MAX4090 is designed to drive DC-coupled, 150Ω back-terminated video loads in portable video equipment, such as digital cameras, portable DVD players, portable digital camcorders, PDAs, cellular phones with video capabilities, portable game consoles, and notebook computers. . Input clamping can locate the output video waveform, making the MAX4090 output driver both DC-coupled.
The MAX4090 uses a single power supply from 2.7V to 5.5V and consumes only 6.5mA of supply current. The low-power shutdown mode reduces the supply current to 150nA, which makes the MAX4090 ideal for low-voltage, battery-powered video equipment.
