Rockwell Automation Simplifies Analytical Solutions Helps Industrial Companies Increase Productivity

Rapid formulation of production cycle tightening and revenue maximization is a necessary condition for industrial companies to remain competitive. The need for informed decision-making needs to be based on an in-depth understanding of operations and productivity, which is often achieved without time-consuming IT projects and highly specialized skills. Today, Rockwell Automation announces the upgrade of its FactoryTalk Analytics product line, which helps users make informed decisions quickly and decisively. This new upgrade is designed to help manufacturers, manufacturers and employees working in operations reduce the complexity of their operating environment.

Currently, FactoryTalk Analytics is ready to scale to applications that discover and connect data sources at the edge of the network and across the enterprise, then intelligently consolidate information to solve problems on the side of the data source. By analyzing the data on the edge or on the device side, production problems can be solved in near real time. FactoryTalk Analytics also integrates machine learning capabilities to deeply understand production and operational processes and summarize data trends to help users anticipate and prevent problems in advance.

FactoryTalk Analytics brings modern user experience capabilities that are already popular in the consumer experience world to production. FactoryTalk Analytics is focused on improving ease of use and productivity, providing Internet-like production data search capabilities and self-service detailed browsing capabilities that allow users to make quick decisions based on data.

Rockwell Automation has selected Microsoft Azure Cloud as the platform of choice for FactoryTalk Analytics to enable it to develop and promote advanced IoT solutions from the edge to the cloud.

Prior to the release of the official version of FactoryTalk Analytics, Rockwell Automation organized a number of customer pilot applications that resulted in a variety of purpose-driven applications that highlighted high ease of use and rapid value return.

In a solar panel manufacturer pilot, customers used FactoryTalk Analytics to connect early system data sources across multiple plants. The customer is now able to efficiently manage local and cloud data, dramatically reducing downtime while saving millions of dollars in IT spending.

Another participating global car manufacturer uses FactoryTalk Analytics technology to increase operational efficiency. These goal-driven applications bring data together from a decentralized system, which was difficult to achieve in the past and is the bottleneck for staff to investigate production issues. The solution enables production managers and executives to take a fresh look at key operational areas and help them more accurately predict production targets.

“Intelligent manufacturing technology has the ability to eliminate blind spots between organizational silos and give users direct access to information,” said Blake Moret, Chairman and CEO of Rockwell Automation. “With our extensive experience in production applications and the technical advantages of control and information capabilities, we can help existing and new plants to increase productivity. It is worth mentioning that our partners can take advantage of these solutions. Improve the value of your products."

“In a rapidly changing production environment, quickly solving problems and even anticipating problems in advance to avoid the risk of business disruption is a critical capability in any field or industry.” Joe Sousa, President, Rockwell Automation Asia Pacific Said. “Like a fast-growing region like the Asia-Pacific region, there is an urgent need for an advanced analytics platform like FactoryTalk that allows users to solve problems and create tangible business results, especially forever.”

FactoryTalk Analytics began pilot applications in November under the name "Project Scio" and is now officially released worldwide.
