In fact, this center has built a semiconductor lighting engineering R&D center that is recognized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education, and has established Tianjin Semiconductor Lighting Engineering R&D and Industry Alliance with more than 60 enterprises and institutions in Tianjin. The research and development of the middle and lower reaches and the industrial layout have increased the research and development of LED key materials and terminal products.
The center cooperated with several enterprises and institutions to independently develop the first LED car headlights in China and was supported by the National 863 Program. At present, through the industry-university-research cooperation, key breakthroughs, alliance development and other mechanisms, Tianjin's semiconductor lighting industry chain has been improved day by day, the industrial layout has been initially completed, and the agglomeration effect has become increasingly prominent. They have carried out 13 large-scale semiconductor lighting demonstration projects around the development of Binhai New Area, rural new towns, road lighting, etc., and applied nearly 40,000 high-power LED lamps.
According to the “Tianjin Semiconductor Lighting Application Engineering Implementation Planâ€, Tianjin plans to use the LED Grand Canal, LED Campus, LED Eco-City, LED Industrial Park and LED Transportation to promote the application of LED lighting fixtures in 500,000 units in three years.
