According to industry sources, the new national standard for frequency conversion will soon be introduced, and may be implemented simultaneously with the energy-saving subsidies continuation policy. The air-conditioning production plant has made "two hands ready" to deal with the policy variables.

"New National Standard" or implemented in September

In the submission plan, the implementation of the new national standard will be combined with energy-saving and subsidy policies. The subsidy policy for energy-saving household appliances that began on June 1 last year will end on May 31 this year. If energy saving subsidies continue, the energy efficiency standards for inverter air conditioners will increase.

Lin Kun, vice president and chief technical officer of Guangdong Zhigao Air Conditioning Co., Ltd., said that the energy efficiency rating of the new national standard for variable frequency air conditioners will be reduced from five to three, and the fourth and fifth levels of energy efficiency will be abolished, and the entry standard will be upgraded to a new three-level energy efficiency. .

It is understood that the revised limit value of the energy efficiency of inverter air conditioners will be increased from the current 3.0 to 3.9, and the market access threshold will also be upgraded from five to three; due to the improvement of the energy efficiency limit, the current primary and secondary air conditioning levels It will be automatically reduced by one level to two and three levels, respectively, to add a level of energy efficiency. At the same time, APF (annual energy consumption efficiency) evaluation indicators have been introduced for the heating and cooling air-conditioners, and more emphasis has been placed on heating performance.

Han Yu said that it may be affected by the change of government. The time for the promulgation and implementation of the new national standard is later than expected, and it may be implemented in September and October. Then, there may be a "vacant period" of subsidies between June and September.

Does the energy-saving subsidies continue to change?

Another senior person in the industry told this reporter that the new national standard for inverter air conditioners has been finalized, but it must be combined with energy-saving and human-friendly extension policies to better stimulate companies to implement new national standards. “While the current energy-saving and livelihood policies continue, there are still significant variables.”

Compared with Jiucheng TV, which is already an energy-saving product, the energy-saving and air-conditioning policy of air-conditioning is less than that of color TV companies. At present, the proportion of inverter air conditioners is only about 60%. If energy-saving subsidies continue, it will help consolidate the results of inverter air conditioners.

Air conditioning plant "two hands ready"

In the future, inverter air-conditioners will only subsidize new national standard primary and secondary energy efficiency products, and fixed-frequency air-conditioning will only subsidize the first-class energy efficiency products.

However, due to the uncertainty of the new round of subsidies, the Chigo plans to shift to the production of three-level energy-efficient inverter air conditioners and fixed-frequency air conditioners after May to reduce risks. Lin Kun said that at the same time, Chigo has made sufficient technical and product preparation for the new national standard and can switch at any time.

Zhang Yanbin, Dean of Ovid Consulting College, told this reporter that not only Chigo, many air-conditioning companies faced with the policy variables, have all transferred their air-conditioning plans for production in May to produce three-level energy efficiency air-conditioners.

However, Ma Yingjie, the managing director of Guangzhou Matsushita Air-conditioner Co., Ltd., said that Panasonic’s current products have responded in accordance with the new national standard in advance, and inverter air conditioners only produce products of level 3 and above.

An air-conditioner industry source, who did not want to be identified, said that even if the energy-saving benefits policies do not continue, inverter air conditioners are also a development direction. Even if the development is slow, it does not matter. The key is to return to the essence of market competition. The market will promote the promotion of energy-saving products.
