Energy saving is still the key word of 09 China lighting industry

Reporter: Rowena, hello. 2008 was an unsettled year for the Chinese lighting industry, and many major events took place. What do you think is the key word that best reflects the development of China's lighting industry last year?

Rowena: I think the core keyword of China's lighting industry in 2008 is “energy saving”. Energy-efficient lighting has been included in the overall national energy conservation and emission reduction plan. At the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly held a national high-efficiency lighting product promotion work conference to deploy the first batch of 50 million high-efficiency energy-saving lighting products that received financial subsidies. This marked the official launch of China's efficient lighting promotion project.
